Coronavirus (COVID-19): Getting Tested in Scotland

Not everyone who has coronavirus will have symptoms, so people can be spreading the disease without knowing it.

If you do not have symptoms of coronavirus you can access a test if you:

  • are part of a group that has been asked to test by your NHS public health team
  • have someone on the shielding list in your household
  • live in a community that has been targeted for testing
  • are planning to travel to a Scottish island
