An in-person and live-streamed symposium on how the future of tourism may look after 2030.

What might a ‘new normal’ in tourism look like as we put the pandemic behind us? Is there even such a thing as normal anymore? How have our attitudes and desires changed? And how will this affect the types of destinations we want to visit, how we travel there, and what we want when we get there?

Join the Tourism Society Scotland to hear the views of renowned experts on  the future of tourism, nationally and internationally, atEdinburgh Napier University’s Craiglockhart campus on 29 April 2022. It will be moderated by Viscount Thurso, the Chair of VisitScotland and President of the Tourism Society.  The symposium is in honour of Lester Borley, first chief executive of the Scottish Tourist Board, chief executive of the English Tourist Board, chief executive of the National Trust for Scotland and manager in British Tourist Authority overseas offices.www.scotsman.com/news/people/tribute-dr-lester-borley-cbe-director-of-national-trust-for-scotland-3195750
